It all started in 2004. I was a sophomore in high school, and I was obsessed with bath and body works body wash- the only problem was that I was super allergic to it. I would shower every morning, and by math class i'd be itchy and have hives all over my body. Super not cool. I didn't really think anything of it, and just switched to using natural products. Fast forward ten years later, I am broke, recently graduating from a graduate program with a masters in Journalism in 2014. Very, very randomly- I decided to give soap making a try. It was the holiday season and I like to create gifts, rather than give my money to big corporations. I was working retail, trying to push my photography career forward, and randomly mentioned to someone I had made soap. They said "I'd love to buy some off of you. I love handmade soap." Eleven years later- here we are.

Handmade soap is great- and there's ALOT of different options out there. I think what make our brand Soap-A-Saurus unique, is everything is entirely on my terms. I dont use certain ingredients, because I don't like them. We are palm oil, lard & tallow free, so everything is made with plant based oils and butters. We don't use fragrances, because they are made with chemicals, we only use essential oils. Our packaging is done in-house, and we always opt for plastic free packaging- theres enough plastic in the landfills as it is.

Soap-A-Saurus is a one stop shop. I create, cut, and label everything myself. That being said, I do have a lot of help coming up with scents, as I have a terrible sense of smell (thank you, guys). Each item is created with intention, and love.
